'Where is the light?' is an art project we worked on with a group of refugees based in Hull, Squid Soup and Freedom Festival. During lockdown we discussed where the light in life comes from, the conversations were used for an art installation and photography project.
There was much optimism and laughing on the project and it brightened what were some very dark days.
Eventually we all got to meet as Freedom Festival staged the installation created on the project. Lights, music by Four Tet and recordings of the group speaking were combined to amazing effect. we enjoyed the space and took these photos whilst we were there.
