We created this Monster Extraction film with the mums of children and young people with disabilities. Throughout the Covid lockdown we worked with this group of amazing, funny, brave and clever women. Their chosen Monster was the system that they have to navigate as they try to support their children and get the help they need. Together we created this song and film that delivers a powerful message about how we treat carers.
The film was featured on BBC Look North and backed by Carers UK and the Young Foundation.
The project was supported by Spirit of 2012 and DCMS and delivered by My Pockets from our base in Yorkshire.
