Day One is a screen printing project about Climate Change created with young people in Sheffield. Alongside the Sheffield Youth Voice and Influence Service we worked with over 200 young people to talk, draw, have ideas and eventually develop a series of prints that discuss our climate in a fresh way. The prints are funny, mischievous, imaginative and capture what the young people think and feel with great impact. They include many different points of view and perspectives. Everyone has been able to talk, everyone has listened to each other.
The images were printed by hand in youth clubs and workshops all over the city. Then collected together and displayed in an exhibition that toured Sheffield starting at the Art House, then the Winter Gardens, Sheffield Town Hall and many other sites and events.
The project won at the Sheffield Youth Voice Awards and was featured on 'It's Nice That.'
